5 Reasons to use Google Classroom

Have you used Google Slides or Google Classroom, yet? It is really easy- and in the event you are wondering how to do something, answers abound at your fingertips! Here are some of my favorite reasons for using Google Classroom. These reasons are so great, you don’t need anymore!

1) Google Classroom is easy to setup

Teachers can set up a class, invite students and co-teachers. On the Classwork page, they can share information—assignments, questions, and materials.

Add students easily—Students can join a class with a code, giving you more time to teach.

Rich assignment materials—Add materials to your assignments, such as YouTube videos, a Google Forms survey, PDFs, and other items from Google Drive. Teachers and students can draw on, write notes, and highlight documents and PDFs in the Classroom mobile app.

2) Make learning engaging and fun

The sky is the limit! Students are so much more engaged when you use standards-aligned, quality resources. Check out this video:

3) Makes you super organized saves time

Teachers can create classes, distribute assignments, communicate, and stay organized, all in one place.

Students can see assignments on the To-do page, in the class stream, or on the class calendar. All class materials are automatically filed into Google Drive folders.

4) Allows for easy Communication & quick feedback

Teachers can create assignments, send announcements, and instantly start class discussions. Students can share resources with each other and interact in the class stream or by email. Teachers can also quickly see who has or hasn’t completed the work, and give direct, real-time feedback and grades.

5) Works with all the apps you use

Classroom works with Google Docs, Calendar, Gmail, Drive, and Forms. You can access Classroom using the web on a computer with any browser, such as Chrome, Firefox®, Internet Explorer®, or Safari®.

For extra help and support, you can always visit the Google Classroom Help Center. If you have been hesitant to try Google Classroom, get going! You won’t be sorry.
